WeWork Chicago

WeWork is the best space to cowork for many reasons. This coworking giant has the most locations open of any other coworking company. Currently, there are nine locations open in the Windy City, with three more opening soon.

WeWork coworking spaces are typically concentrated in the downtown area but also have sites open in other neighborhoods to ensure a WeWork location is accessible for almost anyone. Professionals can take advantage of all that working in the hustle and bustle of a vibrant downtown neighborhood has to bring -- easy commuting, networking opportunities, and economic incentives.

Wework currently manages nine locations in Chicago, and more locations will be opening soon. Three of the nine locations are in the Loop, one of the four areas that make up Chicago’s downtown. It features vibrant eateries, parks, and shopping. These downtown WeWork addresses are:

  • 332 S Michigan Ave Chicago IL 606004

  • 1 W Monroe St Chicago IL 60603

  • 125 S Clark St Chicago IL 60603 (The National)

The River North District is the northernmost of the four areas that make up downtown. Important commercial buildings such as the Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower, and the John Hancock Center call this area home. WeWork currently operates four coworking locations here.

  • 111 W Illinois St Chicago IL 60654

We were impressed with the amount of amenities that were a standard at each WeWork location. No need to worry about office supplies or furniture or printers -- it’s all covered at WeWork. You can find amenities like a friendly on-site crew, around the clock cleaning services, high-speed internet, fully equipped conference rooms, and soundproofed phone booths for private team calls at all WeWork locations. Stay hydrated and caffeinated throughout the day with complimentary refreshing fruit water and fresh micro-roasted coffee. Each location also hosts unique professional and social events to cultivate a strong team culture.

All of these great features are customary at all 770 WeWork locations. Each individual WeWork location also features special bonuses, which are addressed below.

WeWork’s rates are comparable with many of its competitors, even with the myriad of high-end amenities. Three different membership plans are offered -- hot desks, dedicated desks, and private offices -- so you can choose the plan that best suits your team’s needs. Hot desks in Chicago range from $260/month to $390/month. If you’d like to root yourself in more of a permanent area, dedicated desks are available from $350/month to $490/month. Or maybe your team is rapidly growing and you need more space. Private offices range from $690/month to $800/month.
