1. New York Life

According to this press release, New York Life announced that the company hired 3,680 full-time agents last year, continuing its strong track record of hiring in recent years. The company has grown its active agent force by 24 percent since 2007, and in 2015 intends to hire an additional 3,600 financial professionals, with more than half expected to be women or individuals who represent cultural communities. 2. Department of Defense

The U.S. Cyber Command just announced that it will be on the hunt for 3,000 cyber security professionals. The Cyber Mission Force is currently at half-staff, but the Pentagon is working on filling out its roster and qualifying info security personnel. 3. Loblaw Companies (Canada)

This Canadian retail giant is gearing up to hire 5,000 people across its stores. The supermarket chain is set to open 50 new stores and renovate 100 existing sites across the great North. 4. Spirit Airlines

Spirit Airlines will hire 1,500 workers this year as it adds new aircraft and flights across its network, the airline says. They say at least 500 of those jobs will be flight attendants and that many jobs will be based in South Florida. Apply here.

5. Starbucks

According to Buzzfeed, the the company will announce a new hiring plan focused on unemployed youth, that will hire 10,000 "disenfranchised youths" mainly black and latino kids. The company has made such pledges in the past such as a recent push to hire veterans. Apply here.
